HAPPY 2010!
[27. Jan. 2010 - 19:19]

Happy Australia Day Everyone and Happy New Year too.

Has everybody kept to their new years resolutions?

I only made a few... Get better at guitar and take up surfing... It's all going pretty well so far.

Wicked is going really well up here in Sydney but won’t be here forever so get your tickets if you haven't seen it yet, or would like to see it again.

I’m still really enjoying Sydney, the beaches are beautiful, that's where i spent most of Australia Day. Tamarama. Some guy up on the hill was blasting out Aussie Classic music from his house, it was the best. Swimming in the surf listening to Daryl Braithwaite and Cold Chisel. Brilliant.

Hmmm what else? I may have got hayfever, but not sure, it could just  been a really really long cold. Is it even possible to get hayfever after never having it for 27 years?

I was very excited to receive my scarecrow puppet from the Melbourne Puppeteers (thankyou so much i love him). Will twitter some pics of him soon.

Keep twittering as i love all the feedback, and questions if you've got any. I try and check it everyday. Am no the best twitterer but getting better i think.

Don't dream big this year... Be big.

Speak soon.

WORLD AIDS DAY CONCERT - DEC 6 / CAROLS IN THE DOMAIN - DEC 19
[ 1. Dec. 2009 - 05:29]

Hi All.

All is well up here in Sydney, for all of you twittering, thanks for the messages, you can follow me on www.twitter.com/robmillsymills <http://www.twitter.com/robmillsymills>  if you haven't already added me.

I have started guitar lessons up here and am absolutely loving it. Have to get my repertoire up to at least 50 songs by next year. It's a plan people and i have to stick to it. Also trying to get my song book (for singing auditions) up to about 20 too. So with Wicked, learning of songs (singing and guitar), and riding my bike, and playing some awesome new xbox games (C.O.D Modern Warfare 2 - exceptional), there's not much time to do much else.

Went up to Newcastle the other day with Lucy Durack for some publicity which was fun. Is it wrong to try and get Glinda the Good tipsy?

Here's whats coming up if you didn't already know...

I'm singing at the World Aids Day Concert on Dec 6 at the Seymour Centre. There is a huge list of amazingly talented artists performing some of Elton John's greatest hits.
Bookings: www.seymourcentre.com.au <http://www.seymourcentre.com.au/>  or (02) 9351 7940

Carols in The Domain, Dec 19 - The whole cast of Wicked joins a star studded lineup at The Domain in Sydney.

I hope everybody is starting to get into that Xmas spirit. I am... Might decorate my bonzai tree later tonight actually.

Speak soon...

P.S Don't forget to check out Hungry Beast on the ABC every wednesday night. It's my new favourite show. http://hungrybeast.abc.net.au/

SYDNEY....LIGHT THE NIGHT....and more...
[ 9. Oct. 2009 - 00:30]

Well here it goes... For those of you who haven't been following me on Twitter (twitter.com/robmillsymills), i am now living in Sydney and yes, still performing in Wicked as Fiyero. So after nearly two months of living in Sydney, i gotta tell ya, I'm a big fan. Sure i've only really been going back and forth from my apartment to the theatre but i have had the chance to go for some amazing bike rides and site seeing trips. Coogee, Watsons Bay and the rides over Anzac and Harbour Bridge, I'm loving it. I have made a few changes to the apartment, thanks Mum and Fantastic Furniture for helping out and the pictures are up on hooks. It's feeling quite homely now.

Opening night went off without a hitch and reviews have been very positive. Thanks to all those who wait for autographs outside stage door, i know the whole cast gets a buzz out of it.

Now coming up is the Light the Night Benefit Concert which is raising money for Leukemia research which is on Monday 19th October, come along to see some amazing acts such as Lior, Katie Noonan the cast of Wicked and myself to name a few. check out
www.lightthenight.com.au <http://www.lightthenight.com.au/> for all the details.

If you haven't heard i am also an ambassador for the Red Cross and this year is the year of the blood donor. So if you have never given blood before this is the year to do something about it. I am. I read an astonishing fact the other day that said, 1 in 3 people will need blood throughout their lives yet only 1 in 30 donate blood. What the? No wonder Red Cross is struggling. The most common need for blood is blood transfusions which are needed most predominately in cancer patients, and i am sure we have all been affected in some way by someone who has suffered from cancer, a friend or even a family member. Money is great to donate, but what they need is blood and it only takes all up about an hour of your day. Plus they give you some chocolates and sometimes a milkshake for free! Yess! Do the right thing this year, book yourself in to a Red Cross Blood Bank. www.donateblood.com.au <http://www.donateblood.com.au>

I gotta run to the theatre.

Go the Storm (I gotta have one team that wins a Grand Final)...

And hope your team makes some good trades this week. Go Hawks Premiers 2010. Please don't get rid of Brownie!

Rob
